Refund policy
30-Day Returns
We want you to love what you ordered. If something isn't right, you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return. We don't currently offer exchanges.
Item Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, your item must meet all of the following:
- Unworn and unwashed, with original tags/packaging still attached (i.e., cardboard sleeves and tags) See “Important: Original Packaging Required” below.
- Free of heavy scent, debris, or pet hair
- Not a clearance / final sale item
- Not a gift card
Important: Original Packaging Required
All returns must include the product’s original packaging—specifically the printed cardboard sleeves and tags.

Items that do not pass inspection will not be refunded and will not be returned to you.
Defective or Damaged Items
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, do not return it without contacting us first. Email us at hello@outerlakes.com and we'll evaluate the issue and make it right.
Gift Returns
If you received an item as a gift and are unable to use the original retailer's return process, contact us at hello@outerlakes.com. Eligible items may be returned for store credit.
How to Start a Return
To request a return, log in to your account at account.outerlakes.com, find the order you'd like to return, and click "Request return." Select a reason for your return from the dropdown menu and submit your request. Once your request is reviewed and approved, you'll receive an email with a prepaid return shipping label and instructions for sending your item back.
A $9 return shipping fee will be deducted from your final refund total. Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.
Please do not combine multiple orders in a single return package.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you of the outcome. If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to post the credit. If 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and you haven't seen the refund, contact us at hello@outerlakes.com.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
